The steamer *Lemnos* was built in 1883 as PADANG in Middlesbroug
/ England using an iron construction., L 91,15m, W 11,27 m, D 7,18
m, 2191 GRT. Sold to the shipping company Kosmos, Hamburg June 26th
1896, sold to shipping company Laeisz March 5th 1898, sold to Deutsche
Levante-Linie October 20th 1900. From 1896 to 1901 Captain P. Braren
of Föhr was in command. The steamer sank after a collision
in Dec. 1901 on the Elbe river. The Painting was formerly in the
possession of family Braren of Föhr. Click on the image to
