Scott´s artistic ability enabled him to create an authentic "salty" atmosphere in his paintings. The vessel is usually shown in one or two positions at sea with Tynemouth or Dover in the distance. Information about the artist and his oeuvre can also be found in our book "Ship Portrait Artists" .
