This high-quality item has been completely hand-made / hand-wrought / hand-chased. It stands on three feets 3 cm high (1 1/4 in). Ebenezer Coker of London ranks among the best Silversmiths of the 18th Century. An example of his work can be found in the book "Collecting Silver" by Elisabeth de Castres on page 102 with a full-page illustration. He was especially known for candle-sticks, salvers and later also flatware.

Note: This salver was obviously only carefully used (and cleaned), compared to other silver pieces of this age it shows only little wear. The surface on the upper side is nearly like a mirror. As you can see the hallmarks are visible strong and deep. With 603 gr. it has a good, solid weight for the size and is with EUR 2,79 per Gram priced for the trade buyer can make a profit on it.
