Note: This picture was executed for an exhibition (most likely for the Salon in Paris) and has the signature (initials) in a black line at the bottom. It shows all the typical feature of a Anton Melbye painting prior to 1855 Authorship has been confirmed by an Anton Melbye expert in Copenhagen. Click on the image to see a larger color illustration.
