Antique and Vintage Premium Silverware (hand-made & high quality) by Spieldt, Itzehoe

The Silversmith Hermann Spliedt was a well known Silverware and Flatware Maker in Itzehoe, Schleswig-Holstein and his company was founded in 1857. He was active at least until the late 1920s. We know a number of individual and unique flatware designs by him, mostly in Art Nouveau patterns.

Silver Purity: Germany, 800/1000 - Purpose: a pair (2) large Table Dinner Spoons (could be used also for Serving) - Dimensions & Execution: length is 22 cm (8 1/2 in) - made of solid silver with a weight of 104 gr. (3.3 Oz), executed in an Art Nouveau / Art Deco Design - Maker & Age: made by Spliedt in the 1920s - Condition: these items were presented by the local Bank in 1927 and are in excellent condition (obviously never used), NO monogram, engraved on back of handle, in original case - Assay Marks: Half Moon, Crown, 800, Maker`s Sign + Retailer`s Sign by Erich Nissen, Nortorf - refer to AR-09-RP-Spliedt-A - click on photo left to enlarge - an additional photo is here

In German: Zwei Tafel-Löffel aus massivem 800er Silber von Spliedt, Itzehoe. Jugendstil o. Art Deco Design, hergestellt in den 1920er Jahren. Gut erhalten, kein Monogramm, rückseitig Geschenk-Gravur der Nortorfer Bank. Punziert mit Krone, Halbmond, 800 und Herstellerzeichen.
