** The Goldsmith and Silversmith Company A. Künne was founded in 1821 by Arnold Künne (1796-1872) and after 1844 became numerous prizes for their high quality work. Apart from the German Nobility, wealthy Citizens and Crowns Heads also European and World buyers appreciated the Künne Silverware very much - in 1860 more than 50% of the items were made for the Export. After the death of Arnold his son Albrecht continued the workshop and even higher success was achieved. Around 1880 Künne made a monumental Centerpiece in solid Silver for the wedding of Crown Prince Wilhelm von Preußen and Prinzess Auguste Victoria in 1881 - a present from the 96 towns represented in the German Kaiserreich.
